# How Much Is Typically Awarded as a Company Bonus?

**Updated:** June 2026

Oleksandr Honcharov, CEO at FlawlessMLM

Company bonuses typically range from 5% to 20% of annual base salary in corporate settings, with executive bonuses reaching 30-50% or more. In MLM, distributor bonus payouts vary widely depending on rank, with most distributors earning under $1,000 per year while top-rank distributors can earn six or seven figures from a compensation plan.

**Typical bonus amounts by category**

* **Entry-level employees** — 3-7% of annual salary, often tied to individual or company performance.

* **Mid-level managers** — 10-15% of annual salary as performance bonus.

* **Senior managers and directors** — 15-25% of annual salary, plus equity in some cases.

* **Executives** — 30-100% of base salary, with significant stock components.

* **MLM new distributors** — typically under $500 in first-year bonuses for most.

* **MLM mid-rank distributors** — $5,000-$30,000 annually for active builders.

* **MLM top-rank distributors** — $100,000-$1M+ for Diamond, Director, Presidential, or equivalent top ranks.

* **MLM bottom 70-90%** — earn very little, often less than they spent on products and tools.

**Definition:** Typical company bonuses range from 3% of salary for entry-level employees to 100%+ for executives. In MLM, payouts vary enormously by rank, with most distributors earning under $1,000 per year while top performers can earn six or seven figures. Income disclosures show the realistic distribution of bonus payouts.

Marketing materials for MLM bonuses always feature the top earners. The income disclosure document tells the real story, and reading it before signing up is the single most useful protection against unrealistic expectations.
