# How Does MLM Binary System Work?

The MLM binary system works by paying commissions on the volume generated in a distributor's weaker leg. Each distributor sponsors recruits into a left and right team, and the company pays a percentage of the matching weaker-leg volume.

**Step-by-step binary payout flow**

*   **Place first two recruits** — one in your left leg, one in your right leg.
*   **Subsequent recruits spill** — new recruits beyond the first two spill under existing distributors in either leg.
*   **Volume accumulates** — every sale anywhere in your left and right legs adds business volume (BV) to that side.
*   **Matching** — at pay cycle end, the system identifies the weaker leg and pays a percentage (typically 5–20%) of its BV.
*   **Carryover or flush** — stronger-leg excess volume either carries to next cycle or flushes per plan rules.

**Definition:** The MLM binary system works through a pay cycle that calculates commissions based on the lesser of two leg volumes. Distributors aim to keep both legs balanced because unbalanced legs produce wasted volume that may not pay. This structure produces rapid early growth and clear math, but requires ongoing recruitment to maintain both legs.

The binary system rewards balanced team building over raw recruitment. Distributors who focus only on their power leg often lose income to flushing or weak-leg starvation.
