Can you really make money with MLM? Yes — some people do make money with MLM. But the honest answer is that the majority of MLM participants earn very little, and a significant percentage lose money. Income disclosure statements from major MLM companies consistently show that top earners represent a small fraction of the total distributor base, while most participants earn modest commissions that often do not cover their product purchases and business expenses.

**The Reality of MLM Income**

*   **Top earners exist.** A small percentage of MLM distributors earn six figures or more per year. These are typically early adopters, experienced networkers, or people with large existing audiences.
*   **Most earn very little.** According to FTC research, the vast majority of MLM participants earn less than minimum wage from their MLM activities.
*   **Many lose money.** When you factor in monthly product purchases, starter kits, event fees, and marketing expenses, a significant number of distributors spend more than they earn.
